As President and Founder of Syntax Strategic, Jennifer is a leader in the strategic communications sector. She was named one of the ‘Top 25 People in the Capital’ by Ottawa Life Magazine, and was also a finalist for Ottawa’s ‘Female Entrepreneur of the Year’.
Jennifer has worked with several clients in a number of sectors, including petroleum, automotive, nuclear, pharmaceutical, technology and Aboriginal affairs.
She is also actively involved in the Ottawa community. She currently sits on the board of the Ottawa International Writers Festival, TEDx Kanata, is a committee member of Project North, and an advisor to the Kanata Food Cupboard. She is also the former vice president of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Ottawa, and former co-chair of Women in Communications and Technology, National Capital Region.
Jennifer is a veteran communications and journalism professional who has worked in the Canadian news industry for nearly 15 years. Jennifer has planned and executed major projects, managed teams, executed strategic communication plans to various audiences, and has a comprehensive understanding of how to adhere to a vision and strategy.
The former Executive Producer for The West Block with Tom Clark, Jennifer is also a former national affairs reporter and videographer, with extensive experience working in the digital sphere through online writing, social media strategy and blogging. Jennifer also previously worked as a National Affairs reporter with A-News and as an on-the-ground reporter in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Marise is also actively involved in the Ottawa business community, and is one of the founding members of the TEDxKanata team. She is also a former Communications Director for the Women in Communications and Technology Ottawa Chapter and Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa Mentor.

She brings seven years of business development and communications practice to the team, cultivated by working with clients across government, civil society, healthcare, real estate, education, and high tech sectors.
With a background in both the tech and not for profit sectors, Kristi brings experience in developing and implementing digital communication and marketing strategies to build relationships for organizations and individuals.
Kristi has worked on a variety of projects from corporate branding, national surveys and reports, to web and social media content. She is active in the community and is a member of the Algonquin College School of Business Marketing Advisory Committee.
Kayla is an experienced and skilled digital media strategist, who has worked on a variety of multimedia projects ranging from corporate branding and interactive videos, to social media content, print advertisements and more.
Kayla has a wide range of experience working with many different industries, and has done work for hundreds of clients in the petroleum, health, not-for-profit, travel sector, and more.
