Syntax Strategic Presents Outstanding Algonquin College Students with Award
Ottawa, ON – April 8, 2025 – Syntax Strategic and Algonquin College are proud to recognize Anum Saeed and Jessica Bell as this year’s recipients of the Syntax Strategic Award, celebrating students whose work reflects creativity, purpose, and a commitment to shaping the future of the communications industry. Anum Saeed, a public relations student, is known for her dedication to philanthropy and passion for advocacy. She has been described as someone who uses her voice to create impact and actively seeks opportunities to uplift others.
“As a self-proclaimed poet, it’s hard to find the words to describe my elation for this opportunity,” says Saeed. “I am honoured to present the most authentic version of myself and contribute my culture’s way of storytelling to Syntax Strategic.”Jessica Bell is a passionate and motivated graphic design student driven by the power of communication and design to address real-world challenges. She is deeply committed to leadership development and has been seen as someone who continually works on her teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to become a future leader.
“I’m incredibly grateful to have won the Syntax Strategic Award,” says Bell. “It’s a huge help in allowing me to continue pursuing my passion for graphic design without worrying so much about the financial side. Getting the opportunity to do the summer internship is a true blessing — I’ll be able to grow my skills, learn in a new environment, and gain a unique experience.”The Syntax Strategic Award was established in 2023 to recognize outstanding communications, marketing, and design students at Algonquin College. The award provides each recipient with $5,000 toward their final year of study and a paid summer internship with Syntax. It is open to students from equity-deserving communities, emphasizing increasing participation from Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) students.
