Challenge
Renfrew, a town full of rich history and stunning scenery along the Bonnechere River, was looking to refresh its brand imagery and communications strategy to better reflect its economic, cultural, and social offerings.
Our Role
Syntax conducted an internal audit of previous logos and tag lines as well as research into other municipal brands. Working alongside stakeholders and key members of the community, we developed materials central to the rebranding like graphic styles, colour combinations, slogans, and logos. Following the selection of a new logo and slogan, our team produced a promotional video to unveil the rebrand. The goal was to visually represent what the Town of Renfrew embodies for its residents, businesses, visitors, and more — enhancing civic pride and establishing a brand that appeals to visitors, new residents, employers, and investors.
Impact
This project significantly strengthened Renfrew’s brand positioning by crafting a compelling visual narrative that presents the town in a fresh, focused manner. The town now has a new visual identity that will elevate its exceptional traits amidst the vibrant fabric of Canadian municipalities.
